what an easy title to write...
but oh wow, to truly walk that way.. that is an entirely different story. Praise God that he ALONE molds and grows us and we can not do it on our own.
So why is it that we try to... always?
I think this is the main battle of our walk with the Lord... that we constantly battle ourselves.
The Lord has put this song in my heart for the last couple of months probably because God knew I would struggle with what this really meant.. Before I retired from being a youth director.. yes im 26 and I retired... I was teaching through the book of Philippians... I really love the teaching of Paul. I do NOT get Paul at all. He has SUCh faith and joy IN PRISON? ya'll prison... I would guess you could join me in saying that we struggle to have faith and joy in our homes.
Paul got it. and oh how I long to get it.
Many of you know I am writing a bible study currently... and you can probably guess by the babble at the top what the title is called! THANK YOUUU for those who have already ordered one!
In Christ Alone is almost ready!
I love writing bible studies or quiet time books... It was one of my favorite parts of my job. I do not claim to know a lot. But I do believe in the power of the Holy Spirit... that Jesus meant what he said when He left His disciples...He said it was to our advantage that He leaves and sends His spirit.. to be Jesus living inside of us.. oh heck yes! I cling to that as I walk through the text with you. I promise that no matter what.. you getting in God's word will be a blessing. My goal is only to guide you... and no worries I have listened to tons and tons of sermons... so if it sounds really good... my friends Tim Keller and Francis Chan probably taught it to me somewhere along the road... I wish they were my friends.
